Abstract:
To improve the poor mechanical properties of pure keratin porous materials, a modified keratin of polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate (PEGDMA) was prepared by thiolene click reaction. The modified keratin was blended with sodium alginate (SA). Finally, biomimetic mineralized keratin porous materials were prepared by alternating mineralization method. FTIR results showed that PEGDMA was successfully grafted onto keratin. The elasticity of porous materials was obviously improved after modification. The results of SEM, FTIR and XRD showed that HAP was successfully deposited on the surface of porous materials. The surface of porous materials became rough. After mineralization, the properties of keratin porous materials were comprehensively improved, the yield point stress was to 3. 1 MPa, the biocompatibility increased to 117. 86%, Cu2+ adsorption was up to 159. 0 mg/ g. This was of great significance for expanding the application of keratin porous materials.
